From MapHist.com - Dictionary of Mapmakers Reference Books The maps and charts, published separately
by Jodocus Hondius (1563-1612), Pieter van den Keere (1571-c. 1646) and
Hessel Gerritsz (1580/81-1632), will be the subject of this volume. All three men were renowned engravers mapmakers and
publishers who had a decisive influence on development of cartography
in Amsterdam. Their lives and cartographic works will be discussed in
detail. An illustrated carto-bibliography of the folio-sized maps of all
three map-makers, published separately will be also part of this
